GUIDED RIVER ADVENTURE TOUR
At IMF Kayak Tours & Hire, the Guided River Adventure Tour will have you soaking up sunshine and views of the rural landscape seeing Wagga from a new perspective. Our fully qualified and fantastic guides will make you comfortable and well informed throughout your experience with us.
After arriving at our start location, your experience starts with setting up the kayaks, getting you geared up followed by a safety briefing and instruction. We are then going to help you and your crew get in your kayaks and set off on our 10 km ALL DOWNSTREAM journey!
While on the water, our guides teach you tips and tricks to get you kayaking like a pro! This tour is designed for beginners and no fitness level required.

Went for a ‘lazy Sunday’ Kayak on the Bidgee with a friend. The best way to end the week! Mick & family were very friendly & welcoming! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We recommend bringing your sunglasses, a hat, bottled water, sunblock and shoes that can get wet. Don’t forget a towel and swimmers too!
You will get comprehensive instructions on how to use the kayaks and safety equipment. Most of our customers are first timers, so having no experience is no problem.
The kayaks we use are SEAK Swift Kayaks, which are very stable and one of the safest sit on top kayaks you can get. The Swift is designed with the beginner in mind, so falling out of these kayaks is very hard.
Yes. We supply all the equipment. All you need to bring is: – Swimmers – Sunglasses – Footwear that can get wet (eg. Thongs, sandals) – Hat – Towel – Sun block – Bottle of water.
You must be able to swim to participate in any of our tours.
Yes Single Kayaks are rated at 110kg and Double Kayaks are rated at 270kg.
Not so much an age limit but it depends on your fitness level and abilities. If you are over the age of 60 be aware that the tours can be a challenge for some people! You need to be able to sit in the kayak for a prolonged time and be able to get in and out several times. If you have exisiting back, shoulder or hip problems, this tour may not be for you. If unsure, please call us and have a chat to us!
Yes, we certainly do! We cater especially for families with kids aged between 4 and 12 years old able to go in a double kayak with an adult. 12 years and older are welcome on a tour if paddling with an adult and able to go in a single kayak on their own.
