DAY TRIP – GUIDED MURRAY RIVER ADVENTURE

Your experience begins with a Central Wagga location pickup followed by a 90-minute drive to our start location at Clarke Lagoon Wildlife Reserve on the Murray River at Tintaldra . Once we arrive, there will be a short discussion on the format for the day, including lunch breaks, distance expected to kayak, and expected weather conditions. You are then kitted up with all your gear before the all-important safety briefing and instruction.

After the safety briefing your adventure begins on the calm waters of the mighty Murray River! There are no rapids on this trip, instead imagine the peace and serenity as you silently glide and discover the magnificent Upper Murray landscape!

You’ll encounter incredible wildlife including kangaroos, emus, koalas, goannas and much more. The river also has an incredible diversity of birdlife that enjoy the lush river surroundings.

The on water experience finishes right at the back door of the famous Bridge Hotel at Jingellic! A cold beer or wine will be waiting for us as we sit under the shady trees overlooking the river and chat about the journey.

We then hop back on the bus and make our way back to Wagga!

This trip is for the more adventurous as we can cover up to 35 km on the water!

 

Fitness and Experience

• Kayaking experience required
• Maximum weight is 110kg
• Participants must be able to swim at least 20 metres
• You will be required to carry the kayak a short distance from the vehicle to the river
• If you have any medical conditions or dietary requirements that may be relevant please inform the staff at In Motion Fitness and your guides prior to the trip

• Soak up the lush native bushland surrounding the Murray River.

• Finish the day at the famous Jingellic Pub with a cold beer/wine!
• Action photos taken on the day will be sent to you.
